Pinned and Recent Items

Flow Hub keeps commonly used commands easier to access through Pinned, Recent and Quick Actions.

Library content uses related favourite and recent state from Content Browser.

When No Search Is Active

With the Search box clear, Flow Hub can organise commands into:

  • ⚡ Quick Actions
  • 📌 Pinned
  • 🕘 Recent
  • ≡ Browse

These sections provide immediate access to useful commands without requiring a search.

Pinned Commands

Pin commands you use regularly to keep them readily available.

Pin a Command

  1. Locate the required command.
  2. Select its pin control.

The command is added to Pinned.

Remove a Pin

Select the pin control again.

Removing a pin does not remove or disable the underlying Flow or Revit command.

Use pins for regular tools

Pin commands that form part of your normal Revit workflow.

Recent Commands

Flow records commands that you run through its command system.

Recent commands appear in the Recent section when no search is active and can also influence search ranking.

Recent is automatic

You do not need to manually add commands to Recent.

Running commands through Flow builds this usage information automatically.

Quick Actions

Quick Actions are a small predefined group of useful commands presented before the wider Browse list.

The current Quick Actions include:

  • Open Command Palette
  • Zero Window Sill
  • Copy GP Setup
  • Generate Views
  • Recover Windows

Quick Actions are configured by Flow rather than manually selected by the user.

Browse

The Browse section contains the wider set of available registered commands that are not already being presented as Quick Actions, Pinned or Recent.

Use Search when you know what you need, or Browse when you want to review the available command list.

Shared with Command Palette

Command pin and usage state is shared with Command Palette.

For example:

  1. Pin a command in Flow Hub.
  2. Open Command Palette.
  3. The shared command state is refreshed.

Likewise, commands run through Command Palette can contribute to recent command usage seen by Flow Hub.

You should not normally need to reopen either interface for command-state changes to be recognised.

Content Favourites

Library content uses favourites maintained by Content Browser rather than the normal command pin system.

Favourite content can receive higher priority in Hub content search results.

Recent Content

Recent content information can also influence content ranking.

This is different from the Hub's normal Recent command section, which is based on command usage.

Search Still Works

Pinned, Recent and Quick Actions do not limit what is available through Flow Hub.

Start typing in Search at any time to search the wider command set and indexed library content.
